Real Madrid could offer Arsene Wenger the managerial job next summer
Arsene Wenger’s decision to leave the club at the end of the season has seen the footballing world unite as one to pay tribute to one of the greatest and most respected personalities the game has ever seen.
The legendary Frenchman’s decline has been quite obvious for some time now, and Arsenal’s need for a fresh face in charge was something that almost every football fan could see.
But that has not stopped the football community to shower praise on Wenger, as history will remember the Frenchman as a true visionary and game changer.
Now that Wenger has made his decision public, the iconic manager is suddenly a man in demand, as clubs all over the world are readying offers to entice the great man to their shores.
One of Wenger’s closest friends, David Dein, has recently said that Wenger is already getting managerial offers for next season.
“He will have no shortage of offers,” Dein said.
“I personally had calls from various people yesterday, saying, can I speak to him? He won’t be short of offers from clubs.
“Over the last few years, he has been approached by some of the biggest clubs in the world, Real Madrid, Paris St-Germain, the national team wanted him at one stage.
“The question is will he want to do it anymore. It’s getting more and more difficult. It’s a bit of a pressure cooker.
“Oh, yes. He’s going to be 69 in October, but he keeps himself extraordinarily fit. He is the same weight as when I met him, 75 kilos.
“He keeps himself fit. He’s got a very active mind, such a knowledge of the game.”
Real Madrid is a very interesting proposition, as the Spanish giants have often admired Wenger from afar. They had previously contacted Wenger twice for the Real Madrid hot seat, as the Frenchman politely declined their offers.
But with Zidane’s position quite precarious, Perez may look to try his luck with Wenger once again. Watch this space for more!
