At that time, South Africa triumphed the tournament by defeating the defending champions of 2003. Thus, after, twelve years, the Lions would vie against the Springboks to settle the deficit.

This is probably the most hyped and competitive final game to be played, as England rank 1 in the Men’s World Rugby ranking and South Africa at 2nd after the updated list released on the 28th October.
