SA vs MEX Dream11 Prediction : Both sides set to play their most important Pool B encounter on Monday with a place in the knock-out stages looming

Two of the lowest ranked sides coming into the FIH Series Final in Pool B and given the ranking accorded to them, it’s not surprise that both sit right at the bottom of their pool. Winless after two matches, for both side’s their encounter against each other come Monday is the most crucial of their group stage matches.

While for South Africa, the tournament hasn’t been as abject as it has been for their opponents on the day. They’ve managed to show heart, going down 2-0 in both of their matches but not without mounting up a challenge. At the end of the day, they’ve been cost by a lack of clinical finishing from their forwards, players who’ve failed to carry forward the mantle upfront.

Elsewhere, the predicaments for Mexico have been more colossal. They were trounced 9-0 by USA in a match that saw them put on as toothless as a showing as they come. It was a no show from them, floundering in the face of adversary as their defence fell apart to leave them struggling in fourth position.

Probable Winner

Both have had to face defeats against USA and Japan but the manner in which Mexico have been thwarted mean that they are well the second favourites to win this one. South Africa have been warranted one last chance to make nail down third place and they’ll be looking to put forth their best foot forward.

It’s bound to be a close and tightly fought affair but what works well in South Africa’s favour in the cohesion amongst their defensive unit. The backline knows how to hold its shape and put in the crucial blocks and tackles as and when needed. In the end, this might end up being decided by just the odd goal, one which SA should manage to get in their favour.

Goal-Keeper for SA vs MEX Dream11

Jose Hernandez from Mexico is our selected pick for this. Mexico have gone in with a clear head for once in the shot stopping department and Jose has not let them down either.

Defenders for SA vs MEX Dream11

Smith, Eustice and Matthew all come in for us from South Africa. Despite having conceded 4 goals till now across their two matches, the trio have refused to back down. They’ve shown as astounding know how of the game, imbedding a strong defensive ability in the backline for their side to craft out a well composed defensive unit.

From Mexico, their 9-0 battering sees we just don’t have any faith in their defenders. However we’ve still decided to give Roberto Garcia a go given SA have still to open their goal scoring account. If Garcia can thwart their efforts, expect SA to find it a treacherous task to score the goals.

Midfielders for SA vs MEX Dream11

All the three sections are going to be from Mexico. The identity of our midfield is going to see Stewart, Dart and Drummond represent our side for the culminating encounter of Pool B. This is one of the most important aspect of the game with the midfielders offering an opportunity to come up with both attacking and defensive points. These three intertwine both these facets perfectly and could see indulge us in a good barrage of points.

Forwards for SA vs MEX Dream11

SA should finally manage to score their first goal and much more in this match. Mexico’s defence has been breached for goals a plenty and Spooner and Ntuli are bound to scale up their performances and find the goal for the first time this league.

Erik is the player responsible for Mexico’s sole goal of the showpiece tournament against Japan and he comes in to close out our side.

Captain And Vice-Captain

Spooner is our captain for the day while Smith is defence is going to be our vice-captain to make it a one-two of South African players.
