West Indies will play their first warm-up match against the South African squad. South Africa comprehensively won their first warm-up game against Sri Lanka and would be looking to try out a few more players in this match and finalize their combination. Windies would want to get off to a positive start and play their aggressive brand of cricket.
SA vs WI Dream 11 Prediction
Bowlers for SA vs WI Dream 11
One of the best pacers in the world, Kagiso Rabada is my first pick here. Now I do not know if Rabada will bowl in this one or he’ll be rested before the World Cup opener. There is no way to know but I take the risk and go in with him since not picking a death overs specialist like Rabada could prove to be catastrophic.
Lungi Ngidi impressed a lot in the last match picking up 2 wickets at an economy rate of just 2 runs an over. Ngidi is making a strong case for his selection in the playing XI and it would make sense to get him in as he would probably get to bowl quite a few overs again so that the management can make a decision about his spot in the team.
Windies pacer, Ashley Nurse, will be my last pacer in this team. Nurse had a good tri-series a couple of weeks back wherein he consistently picked up wickets in every match and ended up as one of the best bowlers of the tournament.
All-rounders for SA vs WI Dream 11
Andile Phehlukwayo had an amazing warm-up match against Sri Lanka where he picked up 4 wickets and scored 35 runs in the middle order. He is showing the management why he must be a part of the first XI and he might play an important role here as well.
My second all-rounder is the muscle man, Andre Russell. Russell is probably in the best form possible especially with the bat. He has been hitting sixes for fun in the IPL and is a brutal, destructive and unbelievable player. He can also bowl a few overs and pick up some wickets from time to time. Getting Russell in is a no-brainer!

Wicket-keepers for SA vs WI Dream 11
Quinton de Kock, who did not bat in the first warm-up, is expected to get a go in this one. He can do a lot of damage at the top of the order and get in a big innings. He is in good form as well and thus, he will be my vice-captain for the game.
I wanted to pick another keeper in my team. Shai Hope is a very good option but I do not have enough funds to accommodate the batsmen if I select Hope. Also, I believe Hope will not get much opportunity in the warm-ups since he has already shown in the series before this that he is in top form.
Instead, Windies might try out Nicholas Pooran in the warm-up game. Pooran can bat in the middle order and make a significant impact as well. I bring him in especially since he comes at just 8 credits.
Batsmen for SA vs WI Dream 11
Faf du Plessis and Hashim Amla had a good match against Sri Lanka. They both scored 65+ runs and looked to be in top form. I hope that they do bat sufficient balls in this match. I take the plunge and pick them both because if they both play and perform well, that would hurt my team a lot considering other players would be picking them for sure.
Shimron Hetmyer is in my team as well. Hetmyer, over the past year, has become an important batsman in the Windies middle order. He can smash the ball to all parts of the ground and beyond. Hetmyer is another aggressive Windies batsman and he will be ready to hit some big ones here as well.
My last batsman is none other than the mighty Chris Gayle. Gayle absolutely decimated the English bowlers in the series against England a couple of months back. He is in some dangerous form and when the Universe Boss gets going, it’s tough for any one to stop the Gayle-storm. I make Gayle my captain as well because if he tees off, my team could get loads of points.
