Sachin Tendulkar wishes Happy Birthday to Gautam Gambhir: Tendulkar praised the Indian cricketer on his birthday.

Veteran Indian opening batsman Gautam Gambhir has turned 37 today. Apart from scoring over 9,000 international runs, the southpaw is fondly remembered for playing match-winning knocks during both the finals of the ICC World Twenty20 2007 and ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.

Gambhir, who enjoys a loyal fan base, has been trending on social media platform Twitter since morning. His fans have come out with a plethora of adorable birthday wishes, something which tells a lot about people’s preference for him despite him not playing for India since 2016.

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar was one of the individual to post a birthday wish for Gambhir. Tendulkar posted a photo of him and Gambhir holding the World Cup after the 2011 victory. Watch the tweet below:

 

Gambhir was also in the news today because of Delhi’s Quarter final encounter of the Vijay Hazare Trophy against Haryana at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. Opening the batting for his team, Gambhir scored his 21st List A century in another match-winning innings on the big day. Gambhir had also brought up a couple of individual feats during the innings.
