Sachin Tendulkar wishes Team India

Sachin Tendulkar wishes Team India: The legendary batsman appreciated India’s performance and disclosed something unseen before.

During the second day of the first Test of the ongoing India’s tour of Australia at Adelaide, the Indian team made early inroads into the Australian batting line-up, reducing them to 87-4 in the post-lunch session.

After been bundling out for 250 in 88 overs, India pacer Ishant Sharma drew first blood by dismissing Australia opening batsman Aaron Finch on the third ball of the Australian innings.

Just when debutant Marcus Harris and Usman Khawaja stitched a 45-run stand for the second wicket, India off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin stood tall on his reputation by dismissing the former on 26.

Shaun Marsh (2), who is currently undergoing a lean patch in Test cricket, failed to show resistance against Ashwin as he became his second victim.

Kohli continued with Ashwin from one end which brought another wicket for India as Usman Khawaja was seen gloving the ball to wicket-keeper Rishabh Pant. It was at this point in time that India had started to make a real impact in the match.

At the time of writing this article, Peter Handscomb and Travis Head have added 20 runs for the fifth wicket, providing some stability to the Indian team.

With India still at top, one expects them to continue dismissing the opposition batsman. That being said, their recent record against lower-order batsman will give relief to the hosts for they would be looking to at least match India’s first innings total of 250.

Tendulkar, who recently wished Gautam Gambhir on his retirement and Cheteshwar Pujara on his 16th Test hundred, took to his Twitter account to wish well for team India. Read his full tweet below:
