Sadio Mane Dive Vs Aston Villa: Watch Mane making bizarre dive to gain a penalty against Aston Villa but receives a yellow card.

Liverpool is trying to maintain its lead in the Premier League and it seems that the Reds are trying to do anything possible to keep Manchester City away from the first position.

Thus, Sadio Mane made a ridiculous dive against Aston Villa inside the 18-yard box to gain a penalty as Jurgen Klopp’s contingent is trailing against the Claret and Blues before the end of the first half.

Probably the Senegalese International thought that he would be able to earn a spot-kick if he makes his fall dramatic, but ended up making an awkward fall, as it was observable that his dive was a deliberate one.

Even this sight was spotted by referee and he punished the Liverpool forward with a yellow card. Although, the video assistant referee had his own doubts over the incident and scope of penalty was checked.

However, in the end, even VAR aligned his judgement with the main referee and from there the game resumed. But embarrassed Mane for his attempt to earn a penalty in an urge to equalize the score.

As of now, Liverpool can take a sigh of relief as Manchester City is also trailing against Southampton after James Ward-Prowse scored the first goal to gain a crucial lead.

But with another half to go, Liverpool needs to make a comeback and bag three points, as Manchester City would strike back with full force and would try to do everything possible to shrink the gap by the end of the game.

Liverpool was close to equalizing the score with Aston Villa as Roberto Firmino made a splendid finish but he was later denied by VAR for offside, increasing the struggles of the European champions.
