Sadio Mane had a message for Troy Deeney in the tunnel after Liverpool vs Watford in the Premier League on Saturday.

Sadio Mane continued his brilliant season with Liverpool in the match against Watford on Saturday. The Senegalese forward played a crucial role in both of the Reds goals yesterday. His precise assist helped Mohamed Salah score the opener before setting up the 2nd which was again converted by Salah.

“Enjoy your Christmas bro,” Mane told Deeney.

“Take care of my boy, yeah. He’s a shy boy, shy boy.”

“I feel I need to protect him at the beginning because even though he is a really good player it is not easy in the Premier League, because I had that sort of problem,” Mane said in an interview with The Athletic in August.

“If there are problems to start off with then people need to take care of him, go easy on him and especially the fans need to support him and give him confidence for a great future.”
