Sam Harper plays extravagant defensive shot in Big Bash League, make fans laugh

Sam Harper plays an extravagant defensive shot in the Big Bash league amidst his explosive innings, fans found it funny as he intended something else.

The Big Bash League as its prime and in today’s game between Renegades and Perth Scorchers, the T20 cricket has been fantastic so far but the other half of the game is yet to be played.

Renegades took the first batting and made a score of 175 in 20 overs to give a challenging score to their counterparts. Amidst all of this Sam Harper had a brilliant inning which allowed his side to achieve the score.

In the initial balls of his innings, his one attempt at the ball made everyone laugh, when Harper tried to play a ball out of the boundary by reaching to the ball but he realized that he is going to mistime it so, in the end, he defends the ball.

It was a slower delivery by Jhye Richardson which tricked Harper. The latter clearly intended to be innovative and play an unconventional shot to make it go till the boundary.

But the pace and instant swing in the ball made the wicket-keeper batsman change his decision. Harper went onto make 73 runs in 46 balls, an impressive innings, which allowed his side to give a decent target of 176 runs to Perth Scorchers.

Harper was dismissed by Mitchell Marsh in the 16th over of the innings. The Australian bowler lets out a slower delivery, Harper hangs it on the back foot with the plan of chipping it over but ends up miscuing it in the air to the sweeper cover.

Ashton Agar takes a simple catch to end an impressive inning. If Harper had not remained for a significant part of innings, his side could have crumbled on a low score.
