Fabian Allen (West Indies)

West Indies batsman Fabian Allen scoring 218 runs at an average of 27.25 and a strike rate of 177.23 in this Caribbean Premier League is a significant achievement for a lower middle-order batsman. Having represented West Indies in 12 ODIs and 10 T20Is, Allen might just get to play his maiden season of the IPL this season.

Playing for St Kitts and Nevis Patriots, Allen played a vital role in two of their victories. While Allen scored 37* (15) with the help of five fours and two sixes during a successful 242-run chase against Jamaica Tallawahs, he scored an unbeaten 62 (27) with the help of seven fours and three sixes in another winning effort against the same opposition.

With Allen being a bowling all-rounder despite being underused in this tournament, he is an idle cricketer who contributes across departments. His left-arm spin can turn out to be more than just handy in the Indian conditions.
