Shoaib Malik hit-wicket vs England: The Pakistan batsman got out in an inexplicably funny fashion during the 4th ODI vs England

During the ongoing 4th ODI between England and Pakistan being played at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham, Pakistani right-hander, Shoaib Malik got out hit-wicket in the most bizarre fashion one would ever see.

It all happened in the 4th delivery of the 47th over, being bowled by the English speedster Mark Wood.

Wood bowled a normal length delivery outside the off-stump. Malik, on his back foot and deep into his crease tried to steer or rather cut it through towards the point region.

This is where the comedy of errors happened. Malik, instead of hitting the ‘ball’ through the Point area, ended up smashing the ‘stumps’ out their groove and getting out hit-wicket in the most bizarre and surprising manner as one can ever witness.

Pakistan scored their 3rd consecutive score of above 300 runs in the series, as they yet again managed to put on a mammoth score of 340/7 at the end of 50 overs.

Babar Azam was the top scorer for Pakistan after he scored 115 off 112 deliveries, with the assistance of 13 fours and 1 six. Mohammed Hafeez and Shoaib Malik also chipped in with some valuable contributions scoring 59 (55) and 41 (26) respectively.

For the English bowlers, as expected, it was another nightmare, an absolute graveyard for them. However, Tom Curran did manage to pick up 4 wickets after giving away 75 runs in his 10 overs, at an economy of 7.5 runs per over.

Returning back to the dismissal, watching the batsman of Shoaib Malik’s stature committing such a blunder, made the dismissal more funnier for the eyes to behold.
