Sir Alex Ferguson: Former Manchester United manger’s reaction to Solskjaer after Cardiff City defeat on the final day of the Premier league.
Manchester United had an underwhelming season as they finished sixth in the Premier league table, whereas their fiercest rivals had one of the most exciting title race ever.
To make it worse, Sir Alex Ferguson, who is majorly credited for the Red Devils’ success in previous two decades was dispirited after seeing his club losing 2-0 to already relegated Cardiff City.
According to an observation made by a Hungarian outlet Nemzeti Sport, as per Mirror, the Scottish manager reportedly said to Solskjaer, “Son! What was that?!”
The ex-Manchester United manager was in Old Trafford as he was required to present an award as honorary president for the Robert Burns International Foundation.
It seems that Ferguson was heavily disappointed after watching a horrendous show by the Red Devils. It also further signals the need of resolving the grave issues in the squad.
However, it is further reported that executive vice-chairman of Manchester United Ed Woodward says Solskjaer will get the financial backing he requires.
“After a turbulent season, everyone at Manchester United is focused on building towards the success that this great club expects and our fans deserve.
“Preparations for the new season are underway and the underlying strength of our business will allow us to support the Manager and his team as we look to the future.”
Therefore, giving a huge relief to the Manchester United fans ahead of the summer transfer window. The club requires necessary reinforcements for next season, in order to compete for the league title next season.
