Man Utd permanent job

Man Utd permanent job: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been brilliant for Manchester United so far.

The side won its first eight games under Solskjaer before finally dropping points earlier this week against Burnley.

Manchester United are only two points behind the fourth-placed Arsenal and have reached the fifth round of the FA Cup as well.

The players have stepped up brilliantly for the Norwegian caretaker manager and the calls to give him a permanent role have increased from the fans.

However, it has been reported earlier that the Manchester United board is reluctant to take a decision in a hurry and will wait till the end of the season to take a final call on Solskjaer’s future. Meanwhile, there has been a significant development in the process, according to English media outlet Sun.

Man Utd permanent job:

Solskjaer has addressed the questions related to the permanent job on multiple occasions during the press conferences.

Mauricio Pochettino, the current manager of Tottenham is one of the prime contenders for a permanent role at the end of the season.

However, the rejuvenated atmosphere at Old Trafford and a return of attacking football have called for demands from fans to give Solskjaer the permanent role.

Various players, including Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Ander Herrera among others in the first team have praised Solskjaer for his work with the side so far.

According to the English media outlet Sun, Ed Woodward is convinced with Solskjaer’s work and is ready to offer him a permanent contract at the end of the season.

However, there has been a consensus at the club about taking a final decision after Manchester United plays Paris Saint Germain in the Champions League round-of-16.

“Woodward is fully in Ole’s corner but the Glazers have the final say,” a source from the Sun said.

“He pushed for Jose, so has some making up to do. The consensus around the training ground is Ole will get the job though with a positive result against PSG.”

The first leg of the tie will be played at Old Trafford on February 12. Neymar has been ruled out of the tie with a metatarsal injury.
