Stokes and Manjrekar involved in a Twitter banter

Stokes and Manjrekar involved in a Twitter banter: The English all-rounder took a dig at the former India batsman.

Former India batsman Sanjay Manjrekar and current England all-rounder Ben Stokes were recently taking in a Twitter banter where the former’s comments about the English team didn’t seem to go well with the latter.

Most recently, England defeated Sri Lanka 3-0 in their own backyard to register a historic whitewash. England wicket-keeper batsman Ben Foakes, who made his debut in the first Test at Galle, ended up as the top-scorer in the series, amassing 277 runs at an average of 69.25 and a strike rate of 56.30.

While Sri Lanka’s Dilruwan Perera was the highest wicket-taker in the series, it was England’s spin trio of Jack Leach, Moeen Ali and Adil Rashid, who took 48 wickets among them in the series.

The 53-year old former cricketer was of the opinion that Stokes is being credited more than the the trio of Foakes, Ali and Leach for the series win. Since it didn’t go well with him, here’s how he expressed his views on social media platform Twitter:
