Suresh Raina remains one of the most loved Indian cricketers, as the graceful left-hander holds a special place in the hearts of Indian fans all over the world.

He broke onto the scene as a fresh faced teenager in mid 2000s, as Raina impressed one and all with his attacking flair. Over time, Raina developed his skills, and soon became more than a competent spin bowler who could play a great role for his team.
Raina played a small but crucial role for India in their historic world cup triumph in 2011, as his match winning partnership with Yuvraj Singh against Australia in the quarter-finals is part of the folklore of Indian cricket.
Raina is also a bonafide IPL legend, as no one has scored more runs that him over the last ten years of the competition.
Now seemingly at the end of his career, Raina is still hoping to play one more world cup, and will be hoping to play out of his skin to make it into the world cup next year.
The veteran all-rounder is mighty impressed with the current Indian side, and expects Virat Kohli to have a splendid world cup next year.
“Virat Kohli is very hungry – hunger is there in his eyes. His fitness has been remarkable. Every time he rotates the strike – whenever he gets the loose balls, he looks to punish them. He is the best in the world, no doubt about it. He wants to win the World Cup very badly – probably in England, he will be the man of the tournament,” Suresh Raina quoted as per the quotes in India Today.
Indian fans hope that Raina is right, and would love to see Kohli lift the trophy in England next year.
