The flamboyant southpaw Suresh Raina hasn’t had the best of days that he wouldn’t have ever imagined. Some staggering highs before and unfortunate lows now.

But is he still in contention for the Indian team that is raring to win matches? Yes! As per the words of India’s fielding coach, R Sridhar, Suresh Raina do have a chance.
When asked about whether there is a chance for Suresh Raina to sneak into the team, Sridhar said if Suresh Raina passes the fitness Test, then he will be a part of the setup.
“I wouldn’t like to comment on Suresh Raina (exclusion) but once he is through with the fitness parameters I’m sure he will be very much a part of the whole process,” Sridhar told the reporters.
Ever since MSK Prasad came in, the fitness parameters, experiment and rotational policy came into play. The intentions are quite clear that India are eyeing something big by covering all the bases before heading straight into the next ICC event.
According to Sridhar, being fit as a fiddle lead to better results that will benefit the team. “The fitter the player, the better the results are on the field. A stunning diving catch to someone who is not fit may be an easy one for someone who is.
Or, running three (successive) threes may be easy for the player who is fit but may it may be a three and two twos for someone who isn’t. All these add up in the end,” concluded Sridhar.
