Teemu Pukki has scored more goals than Cristiano Ronaldo in 2019

Teemu Pukki has scored more goals than Cristiano Ronaldo in the year 2019.

Teemu Pukki has been a revelation for his club and country this year. The Norwich City striker was on the back of a spectacular season in the Championship.

The 29-year-old striker, who was deemed surplus to requirements at Schalke, Celtic, and Sevilla, has finally shone in England. The striker signed as a free agent in the 2018 summer and his inclusion has elevated Norwich City to the Premier League. He scored a staggering 43 goals for the Canaries last campaign, to help them lift the Championship.

Not only did Teemu Pukki outscored Cristiano Ronaldo last season, but his numbers in 2019 are significantly higher. The former Schalke striker took out the field 31 times for his club and country since the turn of the new year. He has found the back of the net on 25 occasions, which is nothing short of spectacular.

Comparatively, he has outscored Cristiano Ronaldo once again. He has scored 17 out of 23 games in 2019. There will be qualms about the Championship and Serie A, but Teemu Pukki is clinical to the fullest. He has shown that by performing in the Premier League.

Teemu Pukki scored 43 goals last season, while Ronaldo stacked up 32 in that period. The Portuguese International has scored 20 from open play, while Pukki has 41 from open play.

The striker also had more assists than Ronaldo. Additionally, Pukki has more winning goals (11-8) and more braces (8-6).

Even though the English top-flight league is fast-paced, Pukki has found no problem in adjusting his game to torment his opponents every week. The Finnish striker opened his scoring against Liverpool in Anfield during the opening day of the Premier League season, and went on to score a hat-trick against Newcastle United, before bagging one against Chelsea. He blanked against West Ham United in the fourth game week.

He will be hoping to continue his form against Manchester City after the International break concludes.
