TheSportsRush brings Manchester United vs Everton team update as forward could return for the game despite being declared unfit.

Manchester United are going through a rough patch at the moment. The side is currently 10th in the Premier League, with only 14 points from 9 games.

United will host Everton as Mourinho’s side aims to come back to winning ways in the league. With only 1 win in the last 7 games, Manchester United risk of slipping outside the top-10 for the first time this season if they drop points against the Merseyside club tonight.

A win against Everton would ensure a benefit of two positions for Mourinho’s side.

Jose Mourinho, in the press conference, stated that Jesse Lingard could make a comeback to the side but Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez would miss the game. However, there’s been a recent development regarding injuries at United.

Manchester United vs Everton team update:

It is been reported by Goal that Alexis Sanchez trained with the squad yesterday, and could be available for the game against Everton tonight. Jose Mourinho earlier stated that he won’t feature in the game.

“In this moment he’s struggling because he’s injured and we come to the Chelsea match to try to help the team but his physical condition was not good.

“[and] Then he had to stop and was not available for Juventus and is not available for tomorrow again, so now is to be physically in the best conditions,” said the Portuguese.

The Chilean footballer wasn’t selected for the Champions League match against Juventus, and was an unused substitute during the 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge last week.

Alexis Sanchez has struggled with form ever since arriving at Old Trafford, and was recently dropped in the favour of Anthony Martial.

Jesse Lingard has also trained with the squad, and Mourinho stated in the pre-match press conference that the English footballer could be used in the game. Scott McTominay is also fit for the match, but Diogo Dalot has not yet recovered.

Goal has also reported that Marouane Fellaini has trained with the side, but his availability is a major doubt. Mourinho insisted after the game against Juventus that the side missed the services of Belgian midfielder.

It was reported by significant media outlets yesterday that another former Everton star, Romelu Lukaku is set to be dropped for the game, owing to poor form.
