For the last fortnight, we have read reports of the Indian team being unhappy with their coach Anil Kumble. We also read that skipper Kohli had a huge disagreement with Kumble, and that their relationship is untenable. And now we realize that Ten members of the Indian team are against Anil Kumble.

There have been several reports coming out of the Indian dressing room which say that the players are tired of Kumble’s authoritarian behavior. They do not like his attitude, while also complained of col approach towards the players.

Sources have mentioned that Kumble has upset several members of the dressing room, with as many as 10 current members backing for his removal as the head coach. The BCCI has already invited applicants for the head coach’s post, for which Kumble will be allowed to re-apply.
“The difference between 2011 World Cup-winning coach Gary Kirsten and Kumble is that while the former was a friend, who used to keep conversations confidential, Kumble has a habit of giving his own example of strict discipline and then taking the conversation to others,” this is what the players have told the BCCI, as per DNA India.
There have been several members in the BCCI who are not happy with the way Kumble has been treated so far. They believe that Kumble’s success as a coach should not be underestimated, which is why this public show of disrespect was uncalled for.
Kumble’s contract runs out till June 21, which is after the Champions Trophy. Right now, Kumble and his team should concentrate all his efforts towards winning the Champions Trophy.
