The sequel of ‘MS Dhoni: the untold story’ to go on floor after 2019 World Cup

Former Indian captain and veteran keeper MS Dhoni is one of the most popular, if not the most, figures in India. Most cricketers enjoy celebrity status but Mahi is on another level.

In line with the same, his biopic ‘MS Dhoni: the untold story’ was released in 2016′. The movie was a hit among the fans as the crowd swarmed in large numbers to have a look at the story of their favourite star unfold.

The movie covers the span between the childhood of MS Dhoni till the time he won the 2011 World Cup. It also touches upon the personal life of Dhoni, his father, his mother, his sister and his love life.

It talks about his girlfriend who passed away in a road accident and his current wife Sakshi Rawat and how the two met each other. The movie also dives into the struggles that MS Dhoni had to face while trying to balance his schooling and his cricket together. It also shreds light on the friends that Dhoni had and how they formed an essential part of the all round development of the Indian star.

As per latest reports by tabloid Midday, the sequel of the movie ‘MS Dhoni: the untold story’ is in the pipeline. Sushant Singh Rajput is expected to continue playing the role of MS Dhoni. The director of the movie is being shortlisted and the film is all set to get on the floor after the 2019 World Cup.

Chances are rife that MS Dhoni may decide to hang is boots from international cricket after the 2019 World Cup. This will mark the end of a prolific career that has seen India win the 2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 World Cup, the 2013 Champions Trophy and reach the number one ranking in test matches under Dhoni’s captaincy.
