Toni Kroos Goal vs Celta Vigo: Watch Real Madrid’s ace midfielder score a stunner of a goal in their La Liga opener at the Balaidos Stadium.
Real Madrid had a horrid pre-season that followed the absolute shambles of a season they had last time around. The fans had voted no confidence in Zinedine Zidane’s side. To make matters worse, the team was plagued with injuries with new Galactico, Eden Hazard, being the most notable victim.

However, when push came to shove, Real Madrid showed why it was a fool’s errand to count them out. Los Blancos were clinical in their opening La Liga encounter against Celta Vigo. The entire team clicked when it mattered and Real Madrid will come home with 3 points in their kitty.
Karim Benzema, Toni Kroos and Lucas Vasquez etched their names in the scorer’s sheet. However, it was their ace midfielder Kroos’ goal that stole the thunder. The German scored an absolute fireball from outside the 18-yard box in the 61st minute to double their lead.

Luka Modric was given his marching orders ten minutes after half-time. His accidental stamp on Dennis Suarez gave him his second red card of his career and left Real Madrid with 10 men on the field. However, 5 minutes after his dismissal, Toni Kroos scored arguably the best goal of his career.
Marcelo tapped a gentle pass to Kroos. The German flicked the ball to his right and struck the ball from 30 yards away. The ball flew right past the keeper, hit the crossbar and found its way into the net.

Earlier in the match, Gareth Bale set up an easy tap in for Karim Benzema. Lucas Vasquez added to Celta Vigo’s misery by scoring 10 minutes away from full time. Iker Losada Aragunde pulled one back for Celta Vigo in extra time but by then it was already too late.
This victory will give Real Madrid a lot of confidence who will now hope to build on this. They will now face Valladolid next weekend at home and will hope to be just as destructive as they were today.
