Top 10 Most Valuable football Squads in Europe

#2) Real Madrid (Spain) €1.19bn

Despite their poor campaign last season, Real Madrid have overtaken eternal rivals Barcelona in the list of the most valuable squads in Europe. One of the major reasons behind this is their shopping spree this summer.

Real Madrid spent in excess of €300m in the transfer season looking to rebuff their squad. In their quest for yet another Champions League and La Liga, Real Madrid bought in Eden Hazard and a host of young players to reenergise their squad.

The highest valued player in the squad is Eden Hazard at €150m. He is closely followed by Vinicius Junior and Raphael Varane, both of whom are valued at €70m each. Casemiro, Luka Jovic, Gareth Bale, Marco Asensio, Isco and Toni Kroos are next in line with €60m each.

#1) Manchester City (England) €1.28bn

Despite Pep Guardiola claiming that Manchester City are not yet ready to challenge for the Champions League, Manchester City have the most valuable squad in all of Europe. The squad valued at €1.28bn have won the last 2 Premier leagues including an unprecedented domestic treble last season.

Manchester City boasts of a squad with multiple players that have been valued very highly. Off them, Raheem Sterling has the highest value at €140m. He is closely followed by Kevin De Bruyne with €130m. Bernardo Silva and Leroy Sane are next on the list with €100m each.

Manchester City are looking to complete a hat-trick of Premier league wins and even though Pep Guardiola will not come out and openly say it, they will hope to do one better from last season and add the Champions League to become the first team to complete the quadruple.
