Transformers Reactivate was unveiled at The Game Awards. We have very little information, but here is what we know.
The Transformers franchise has not had a console game in quite some time. To fix that, the British Developers Splash Damage announced a new game called Transformers Reactivate for the franchise.
The game will be an online game available for PC and the newest generation of consoles. Let us look at the information we know in detail.
Transformers Reactivate: A New Project by Underdog Studio Splash Damage
The game will be an online action game where the Transformers will face off against a new enemy called The Legion. We do not know who these creatures are, but we will next year as the studio plans new trailers.
No Autobots or Decepticons have been confirmed so far. There is going to be a closed beta for the game next year. We assume the game will have a release date of late 2024 or, in the worst case, early 2025.
Speaking about the game in its press release, Splash Damage said the players will “explore a fresh, new story within the Transformers universe.” They also gave us a tease about the gameplay, saying that the game will allow players” fully immerse themselves in the universe like never before.” Players will be able to play as their favorite characters as well.
We assume a Transformers game will be incomplete without Optimus Prime or Bumblebee. However, we do not know what the studio has planned. Splash Damage is known for making Quake Wars, Batman Arkham Origins, Gears 5, and many more AAA titles. The franchise is definitely in good hands. The fans are excited to see what the Transformers game franchise can do next with all the new technology being introduced.
