Fans were shocked after Triple H attacked raw team-mate Kurt Angle but pins Shane McMahon for win
As the match neared its conclusion, Shane McMahon was the last man left on his team, and he was faced with the daunting task of overcoming Triple H, Kurt Angle and Braun Strowman.
Although Kurt stepped up to face him, Shane managed to hold his own and even get a few near falls. Alas, he fell prey to the ankle lock and was about to submit when his brother-in-law, Triple H, intervened and hit the Pedigree on Kurt Angle, allowing Shane to cover General Manager of Monday Night Raw.

However, there wasn’t a feel-good story as the 14-time World Champion proceeded to Pedigree Shane and cover him. On the show, the announcers passed it off as Triple H merely attempting to steal the glory, but, in reality, he planted the seeds for a feud that should climax at WrestleMania 34.
It is rumoured that Triple H face Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 34 and this attack by Triple H is a part of the build up for that match.
The initial work for this storyline was put in place when Triple H assaulted Jason Jordan, Kurt Angle’s storyline son, and took his place on Team Raw. During Survivor Series, Jordan even expressed a desire to see Triple H fall in the main event.
Kurt Angle and Triple H worked wonders together in the past, and albeit they’re a lot older now, the two should still be able to put on a show.
