Truth behind MS Dhoni’s Bharat Bandh photo
Dhoni’s Bharat Bandh photo: Sportsrush presents before you the real story behind Dhoni’s viral photo on social media.
Of late Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s photo while sitting on a Hindustan Petroleum petrol pump along with wife Sakshi Dhoni has gone viral on the social media. The account which posted that photo claimed that Dhoni was sitting on the pump in support of the ‘Bharat Bandh’ which had taken place on September 10.
The bandh was organised by the Congress party in protest of the rise in petrol prices throughout the nation. However, sources professing that Dhoni was there to promote this campaign have been found wrong.
One of the tweet had a satirical take on the whole issue. “I stopped playing the helicopter shot because I couldn’t afford petrol at Rs 90/litre”, said the user named AkashIYC.

Arun Thakur, who had tweeted these photos, ended up deleting them at a later stage.

Apparently, these photos were found to be from Himachal Pradesh where Dhoni was present with his wife and celebrity hair-stylist Sapna Bhavnani last month.
According to Times of India, these claims were rubbish. Having contacted Bhavnani, they had confirmed that these photos were clicked during Dhoni’s stay in Himachal Pradesh.
Dhoni had visited Himachal Pradesh for an advertisement shoot which was being directed by Shoojit Sircar. Renowned actor Pankaj Kapoor will be also seen in this advertisement for MasterCard alongside Dhoni.

Dhoni’s name had made the rounds a few days earlier as well when the news of Spartan Sports not having paid the former captain and current wicket-keeper batsman his dues broke out.
