Twitter criticizes O’Keeffe for racist comments: Twitter lashes out at the Australian commentator for his absurd comments.

Apart from the Australian cricketers having a torrid time on the field, there is another one who seems to get himself into trouble every time he utters something from his mouth.
Former Australia cricketer and current commentator Kerry O’Keeffe, who came into the limelight after he questioned the quality of India’s domestic circuit on the first day of the Test, has once again found himself on the wrong side of the situation due to his uncontrollable tongue and racist thoughts.
Commentating during the fourth day of the ongoing third Test, O’Keeffe appeared to pronounce some of the Indian names with difficulty. Rather than finding a way to pronounce the correct name, he started criticising the players for their names.

“Why would you name your kids Cheteshwar, Jadeja?” O’Keeffe asked his fellow commentators on-air. What added to the disgust of the whole scene was his fellowmen laughing at his racist comments.
To witness someone mocking the visiting players’ names in such manner on-air didn’t go down well with the Indian fans and rightly so. Without giving a second thought, they started lashing out at the commentator, other members of the panel and the channel for persisting with someone like him.

Oh great, it’s officially a joke on air now. Obnoxious commentary. Cannot believe I now prefer the studio commentary from Sony now. #AUSvIND

If these Aussie comms can’t even pronounce Ravindra Jadeja properly, they should actually stop commentating. And asking ‘Why would you name your kid Cheteshwar?’ – that is the pits of commentary. Not outraging. Just calling out shit commentary #AUSvIND

The worst piece of racist commentary I’ve ever seen. Kerry O’Keefe saying “Why would you call your kid Cheteshwar Jadeja?” accompanied with cackled laughter. Shameful bunch. pic.twitter.com/UPUiCpUgJe

Ah the lovely Kerry O’Keefe is at it again. “Why would you name your kid Cheteshwar Jadeja” he says on air. Accompanied by cackling giggles, and said in a tone that drips with what increasingly sounds like casual racism.

@FOXCricketLive please tell Kerry Okeefe &co in the commentary box that making fun of names of folks in non- Australian teams is not cool.
