Twitter Explodes As Ravi Shastri Applies For Head Coach

Ravi Shastri applying for the head coach of team India has raised a lot of eyebrows. The former India all rounder initially refused to apply as he believed that he should get first preference among all the applicants. But he has backtracked on this and has now applied for the head coach role.

This created a buzz on social media as Shastri had gone back on what was a pretty public statement in which he refused to apply. But sources have claimed that Virat Kohli has personally requested Shastri to throw his name in the hat.

Shastri was the coach before Kumble and whilst he was in charge, he shared a wonderful rapport with Kohli. Kohli has also publicly appreciated the efforts of Shastri, which is why he would love to have Shastri as the new head coach.
