Twitter reactions on David Warner's fourth IPL century

Twitter reactions on David Warner’s fourth IPL century: Twitter was delighted to witness the SRH opener play an incredible innings.

During the 11th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore at Hyderabad, Sunrisers Hyderabad opening batsman David Warner registered his fourth IPL century to propel his team to 231-2 in their allotted quota of 20 overs.

Opening the batting with Jonny Bairstow, the duo stitched the highest opening partnership (185) in the history of IPL surpassing Gautam Gambhir and Chris Lynn (184*) for Kolkata Knight Riders in 2017 at Rajkot.

After Royal Challengers captain Virat Kohli won the toss and put the hosts in to bat, SRH’s innings started with the archetype blitz from Warner. Interesting enough, Warner then took the backseat as Bairstow put his foot on the accelerator for score his maiden IPL century.

Out of Hyderabad’s 59 runs in the powerplay, Warner had scored 27*. By the halfway mark, Warner added 11 runs to reach to 38*. While Bairstow was calling the shots at that point in time, Warner played a perfect supportive role from the other end.

On the first ball of the 13th over, Warner ran a couple of runs off 16-year old debutant Prayas Ray Burman to complete his half-century. Following Bairstow’s dismissal in the 17th over, the southpaw took centre stage to finish the innings for Hyderabad.

On the fourth ball of the 20th over, Warner hit a Mohammad Siraj full-toss between point and short third-man to reach the three-figure mark. The 32-year old ended up scoring 100* (55) with the help of five fours and five sixes. The pinnacle of his innings was him scoring 50 runs in singles and doubles on a really hot day in Hyderabad.
