Twitter reactions on KL Rahul's maiden IPL hundred

Twitter reactions on KL Rahul’s maiden IPL hundred: Twitter was exhilarated to witness a splendid innings from Kings XI Punjab’s opener.

During the 24th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Mumbai Indians and Kings XI Punjab at Mumbai, Kings XI Punjab opening batsman Lokesh Rahul scored his maiden IPL hundred to propel his team to 197/4 in their allotted quota of 20 overs.

Continuing his incredible form in the tournament, Rahul scored the hundred on the back of scoring three half-centuries.

Opening the batting with Universe Boss Chris Gayle (63), the duo shared a 116-run opening partnership before the southpaw was dismissed in the 13th over. Staring his innings on a cautious note, Rahul had scored 24* (21) in the powerplay. By the halfway mark, Rahul was batting on 42* (30).

On the fourth ball of the 13th over, Rahul ran a single off Jason Behrendorff to complete his half-century. With Punjab losing wickets during the business end of their innings, Rahul took the onus on himself of finishing yet another innings for them.

While he hit a four and three sixes against Hardik Pandya in the penultimate over, he hit a four and six against Jasprit Bumrah. On the fourth delivery of the 20th over, Rahul ran a couple of runs off Jasprit Bumrah to achieve the milestone. Carrying his bat through, Rahul ended up scoring 100* (64) with the help of six fours and six sixes.
