DC vs SRH : Twitter reactions on Rishabh Pant winning IPL Eliminator for Delhi Capitals vs SunRisers Hyderabad

Twitter reactions on Rishabh Pant winning IPL Eliminator: Twitter was exhilarated as the Delhi Capitals southpaw sealed chase vs SRH.

During the Eliminator of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Delhi Capitals and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Visakhapatnam, Delhi Capitals defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 2 wickets to qualify for Qualifier 2 of IPL 2019.

Chasing a 163-run target, Capitals were in a strong position on the back of a 66-run opening partnership between Prithvi Shaw and Shikhar Dhawan. However, a batting collapse saw them losing half their side for 111 in the 15th over.

SRH leg-spinner Rashid Khan picking up two wickets in his last over turned the match in Hyderabad’s favour. Despite returning into the match, SRH once again lost control in the 18th over when Pant hit Basil Thampi for 22 runs.

It was a determined Pant who put maturity on display to put Capitals in a strong position. However, him getting out to a false shot in the penultimate over converted the match into a cliffhanger. It was eventually Keemo Paul (5*) who hit the winning runs on the penultimate delivery of the match to seal the chase.

Coming in to bat at No. 4 in the 11th over, Pant scored 49 (21) with the help of two fours ad five sixes. Shaw, who scored his second half-century of the season, top-scored for DC scoring 56 (38) with the help of six fours and two sixes.

After Delhi captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and put Hyderabad in to bat, they ended up scoring 162/8 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Opening batsman Martin Guptill top-scored for his team scoring 36 (19) with the help of one four and four sixes. With bowling figures of 4-0-32-3, Paul was the pick of the bowlers for DC.
