Twitter reactions on Shimron Hetmyer and Gurkeerat Mann’s: Twitter was exhilarated to witness the game-changing partnership vs SRH.

During the 55th match of the ongoing 12th season of the Indian Premier League between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad at Bengaluru, Royal Challengers Bangalore defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 4 wickets to register their fifth IPL 2019 victory.

Chasing a 176-run target, Royal Challengers lost their dominant Top three batsmen in the first three overs. While they gave impression of struggling after SRH bowlers made early inroads, it was an outstanding 144-run partnership between Shimron Hetmyer and Gurkeerat Singh Mann which brought them back into the match.

The duo who hasn’t played much for RCB this season joined hands to stand tall against a potent Hyderabad bowling attack. Initially, Hetmyer played the big shots making sure that the required run rate doesn’t go out of reach. While Mann started off with singles and doubles, he too got the big shots going after getting his eye in.

While Hetmyer scored 75 (47) with the help of four fours and six sixes, Mann ended up scoring 65 (48) with the help of eight fours and a six. It was eventually Umesh Yadav, who scored 9* (4) in the last over to seal the chase for RCB.

After RCB captain Virat Kohli won the toss and asked SRH to bat, the visitors ended up scoring 175/7 in their allotted quota of 20 overs. Hyderabad captain Kane Williamson, who came in to bat at No. 4 in the eighth over top-scored for his team. Registering his first half-century of the season, Williamson scored 70* (43) with the help of five fours and four sixes.

With bowling figures of 3-0-24-3, RCB all-rounder Washington Sundar was the pick of their bowlers.
