Portugal met Morocco in their second match of group stage today at the World Cup.
It was Ronaldo’s day again at the World Cup, as Portugal played against Morocco in the second match-day of Group B. Ronaldo’s bullet header in the opening minutes of the game turned out to be the only goal making the difference in the game, as Portugal emerged as 1-0 winners to lead the group.

Ronaldo took advantage of poor defending on the cross, as he was left with ample space to reach the position and time his header perfectly into the net. Morocco was comparatively better in terms of technical excellence and chance creation. However, they couldn’t deliver the killer blow in front of the goal.
It was almost a deja vu of their performance against Iran, where they dominated the opposition on the offence, but succumbed to a rather silly mistake.
With this win, Portugal now have 4 points from two games, and top the group. Iran with 3 points are second after they overcame Morocco, while Spain are third with one point. The European giants will meet Iran in the second match of the Group B’s match-day two later tonight.

I can’t believe Cristiano Ronaldo is going to drag Wolves’ List of Transfer Targets to another final.

Ronaldo lashes the ball into row Z then immediately feels his leg for a tweak. Textbook. Even the best player in the world fakes an injury when he’s done something shite.

For the past 20 minutes, Portugal have had the ball for 2 minutes max. For those that are new to football, this is not a good thing unless you’re Celtic playing Pep’s Barcelona in the Champions League.

Morocco playing some of the best football I’ve seen at the World Cup. Great movement and positioning. All they lack is a goal-scorer…
