All the attention at the start of Day 2 of the Ranchi Test was on Virat Kohli’s shoulder. India’s captain had injured himself while fielding yesterday and it seemed as if he wouldn’t play any further part in the game, but BCCI cleared the air late last night saying the Kohli was fine and was off the fied just for precautionary measures.

India desperately needed some motivation on the field, in order to get through the Australian batting and Ravindra Jadeja provided that spark today. He picked up yet another 5 wicket haul, and is slowly taking on the mantle from Ashwin as India’s go to first innings bowler.
This is how Twitter reacted to Jadeja’s fabulous bowling performance:
For too long Jadeja had been seen as a bad wicket bowler. This season he has moved up and can claim to an all-wicket bowler in India

Another fifer for Jadeja. More important, fewer irritating late order runs. India's batsmen would like that!

Steve Smith racked up a brilliant 150 and with Australia being bowled out for 451, the Indians need to bat extremely well in order to get a stranglehold over this Test match.
