One name that is always on Ferguson’s radar is the former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov. Although the Russian star has retired from the sport, ‘El Cucuy’ continues to mock him. However, today he had one more name to throw shade on.

An avid Twitter user will know that the former UFC double champion Conor McGregor is often in a feud with someone on social media. Similarly, the Irish star exchanged jabs with his old rivals Dustin Poirier and Nate Diaz, recently.

It was all over the news. Hence even Ferguson knew about it. The American fighter took to his official Twitter account and in his unusual manner took a dig at McGregor. He referred to the Irishman as ‘Mcnugget’ and ‘Mcnacker’ in the tweet. Check out the post below:

Amidst that, Khabib Nurmagomedov’s manager Ali Abdelaziz chimed in and took a dig at McGregor by saying that Poirier ‘owns’ him. Ferguson saw this as an opportunity to mock his long-time rival Nurmagomedov.

Instantly replying to Abdelaziz, Ferguson wrote, “I Own Fathead- Champ.” He usually refers to the retired Russian MMA fighter as ‘fathead’ in several of his tweets.
Nurmagomedov vs. Ferguson- A rivalry that never saw the light of the UFC octagon
Ferguson and Nurmagomedov have been lightweight rivals for a long time in the promotion. In fact, they were set to take their beef inside the cage more than twice. However, every time either of them pulled out of the bout because of some reason.

Eventually, ‘The Eagle’ retired in 2020 leaving their rivalry halfway. Meanwhile, Ferguson is still competing in the promotion. But has never won a bout since 2020.
