Henry Cejudo is apparently open to a UFC return and wants to talk to Dana White for contract negotiations.
The match-up that many enthusiasts want to see is apparently picking up fuel as Henry Cejudo has come out and has talked about a potential return to the Octagon. The former multi-division champion, Cejudo announced his retirement after defeating Dominick Cruz at UFC 249 and since then only engaged in a back-and-forth with fellow fighters on social media.
However, after almost 7 months, the fighter has expressed intentions of an in-ring comeback. And with it weighed in on the possibility of facing the current Flyweight champion, Deiveson Figueiredo.

Henry Cejudo weighs in on the potential fight with Deiveson Figueiredo
Cejudo, who on Wednesday landed in Brazil to take part in the training stint of Patricky and Patricio Freire (Bellator MMA fighters), seemingly in the spare time addressed media.
In an interview with Combate.com, the 33-year-old spoke about his future plans and answered the queries regarding, when he is making his UFC return.
He said, “Life has been a lot of fun, I had the opportunity to travel the world, especially Brazil, stay with the best in the world, like Patrício and Patricky Pitbull, I learned a lot since I retired. I came to Natal to help Patrício, a guy I admire a lot, the best weight for weight in the world. He will face a wrestler (Emmanuel Sanchez), so I came to help him.”
When asked about Deiveson Figueiredo and the possibility of sharing the ring with him. Cejudo said, “I like him, he doesn’t last more than two rounds with me. There is no wrestling, I think I am more Brazilian than him. For me, this guy is Paraguayan. He’s taking care of my belt, he’s babysitting my belt. When I decide to go back, the belt will come back to me. I need to talk to Dana White and see how much money we’re talking about. I miss fighting, but I need motivation for all this. If he gives me what I want, the God of War will face triple C. I will knock this guy out – fired the American, gold medalist in the Olympic fight, at the Beijing Games in 2008.”
While the ongoing war of words with Deiveson Figuereido is at large, and perhaps the prime reason why the fight between the two makes sense as of now, but, Henry Cejudo is a former Bantamweight champion as well, therefore he is also seemingly aware of the happening in the 145-pound weight class, and implied that he is ready to reclaim the Bantamweight gold as well.
“Petr Yan knows how to change, but he doesn’t have wrestling. It’s not complete, so it doesn’t stay long (with the title). There is José Aldo, who is a legend here in Brazil, but if he faces me, it does not last more than two rounds. Who knows how I will be in December this year? I’m ready, I won’t stop training. If all goes well, I will kill the “God of War”, Petr Yan, and everyone who wants my name, my belt. I will kill them all, this will be 2021 for them.”
