‘I want the UFC to look at me with different eyes’: Deiveson Figuereido Conveys His Want For Pay-Per-View Points
Deiveson Figuereido conveys his want for value addition. He thinks he deserves exclusive Pay-Per-View points.
With the kind of impact he has created in the last 12 months, only a few would debate over the current stature of Deiveson Figueredo. In 2020 the Brazilian captured the UFC Flyweight champion and was able to defend it twice.
While it was a breakthrough year for Figueredo, which even fetched him the fighter of the year award from many media outfits and also became the top pick of UFC in the same concern, however, he feels he is yet to get more credit.
The 33-year-old showcased his supreme MMA prowess on four occasions this year, garnering a couple of performance of the night bonuses in the process and also propelled one of the fights of the year. Moreover, the God of War did the unprecedented this year i.e., headlining back-to-back pay-per-views (UFC 255 & UFC 256).
So, with an exceptional fighting attitude and the ability to walk the talk, Deiveison Figuereido is at the top of the mountain right now and everything seems ideal for him, however, when it comes to the monetary returns the fighter has expressed dissatisfaction recently.

Deiveson Figuereido Thinks UFC should Value Him More
In an interview with MMA fighting the fighter put forth his demand. “I want the UFC to at least have me make some pay-per-view [points],” Figueredo said.
“I gave my all, I love fighting in the UFC, I went in the octagon to break myself into pieces and give them the fight of the night because that’s what fans want to see. Fighters that don’t slow down, that go in for a bloody game. I’m that type of fighter, you know, so I want the UFC to look at me with different eyes, that they give me pay-per-view [points].
“It’s missing some pay-per-view in my purse. If they already add it to this [UFC 256] fight, that would be great, brother, but I would like to start making pay-per-view [money] for my next ones. I deserve this, I love working for the UFC and I want to be more valued, you know?”
While his rematch with Brandon Moreno makes more sense than anything right now but, on being asked who wants to face next, he said, “I want to fight Cejudo, man. He talks a lot, he’s always talking about everyone, so I want to stop this guy. I want to shut his mouth.”
