Khamzat Chimaev lays out his thoughts about officially becoming a ranked fighter in UFC.
Hours after attaining the ranked status in UFC, the No.15th ranked Welterweight Khamzat Chimaev reacted on his evident promotion, and with it he has apparently given a hint about his long term aspirations.
Ever since he has debuted in July, Khamzat has made the MMA circuit witness his uphill climb, and while he has in-process breached the threshold of Welterweight rankings, he is seemingly not satisfied with the No.15th spot. Just like he quickly rose through the ranks in UFC, let alone the 170-pound division, it seems as if he is aiming a similar route to the title fight as well.

Khamzat Chimaev Reacts On Becoming Welterweight No.15
On Tuesday, the 26-year-old expressed his thoughts about entering the ranking channel, via Twitter, and his comment only indicates the substantial amount of confidence he has in himself.
After noting the updated rankings, he wrote : “It’s bulls**t, I’m number one I’m a champion.”
It’s bullshit, I’m number one I’m a champion ☝🏼 https://t.co/OFDYtcVRUB

It is his this attitude, which has also placed him in the good books of UFC president Dana White.
Even though he has had an outstanding 2020, on the basis of which he might even land the fighter of the year award, however, the fighter is not willing to stop at nothing, and is now gearing up for a headliner fight. On December 19, 2020, Khamzat Chimaev and Leon Edwards will close out 2020, perhaps with a spectacle. The winner would surge ahead in his career, and the early odds give Khamzat the favorite’s tag.
