UFC Vegas 5: It is Not The End Of The Road For Edmen Shahbazyan

After suffering a thumping defeat at the hands of Derek Brunson, Edmen Shahbazyan is still in good spirits, and claims he will be back. 

With all the hype around him being a former training partner of Ronda Rousey, and all the odds being in his favor, On August 1, Edmen Shahbazyan entered the ring as a clear favorite. The fighter had contested in 11 fights before, and won all of them. With 10 first round finishes in his career, the Golden Boy was vouched by many to carry the same baton and register another victory. However, Derek Brunson had other ideas, he affirmed his grip on Shahbazyan from the first round, and had him in troubled waters at the end of the second. Edmen Shahbazyan could only stand for 26 seconds in round-three, before Brunson was declared the winner via. a TKO.

While it is safe to admit that Derek Brunson has successfully quashed the tag of a stepping stone, it is also definitely not the end of the road for Shahbazyan.

Edmen Shahbazyan’s Twitter Post After The Fight

The 22-year-old acknowledged that Derek Brunson was better, and posted this message after the fight;

Dana White in his post event conference, while replying to a question related to Shahbazyan’s flop show cleared that, he isn’t disappointed with Shabazyan.
