Mackenzie Dern’s Father:
Mackenzie Dern is one of the best in the octagon when it comes to Jiu Jitsu. The fight is almost always done if Mackenzie Dern gets a hold of her opponents and gets in a decent position. The fans might wonder where her Jiu Jitsu skills come from.
The answer to this is her father Wellington Dias. The BJJ Ace is a personality who very few from the MMA community know of. The BJJ community however knows very well who Wellington Dias is. Wellington Dias is more commonly know as ‘Megaton’ in the Jiu Jitsu community.
Dias who is from Rio de Janerio, Brazil has always been in martial arts since childhood. Megaton used to train Judo under Rogerio Camoes where he was a black belt. Camoes also used to train his students in submission as he was a Jiu Jitsu enthusiastic.
Royler Gracie and Wellington Dias were friends from childhood. The two of them used to grew up in the same neighborhood and used to go surfing. Both of them started cross training. Royler started training in Judo while Dias started training in Jiu Jitsu.
