Sean O’Malley kept his undefeated record intact in style when he knocked Eddie Wineland with a right hand to the face. He extends his unblemished streak to 12 wins now. Four of them have come in the UFC; two of which were earned this year.

The match, for the short while it lasted, was quick from the get go. ‘Sugar’ was bouncing all around the octagon yet seemed to be in control. In the end, he feinted an uppercut. In a bid to defend the move, Wineland left himself open.

O’Malley went straight ahead with a right hand that sent his opponent straight to the canvas. The striker didn’t even bother waiting. Instead, he just turned and walked away as the referee quickly stopped the fight at 1:54 seconds in the opening round.

“I really do believe I have the best striking in MMA,” O’Malley said after the knockout win.

The young fighter is slowly climbing the ranks in the Bantamweight division. The 25-year old, who has now caught the attention of the world, will be expecting a ranked opponent next time he competes.
