Unai Emery provides transfer updates about the possibility of incomings this window.

Arsenal have been linked with plenty of players this window as Unai Emery seeks a possible bolstering of the squad before the transfer window shuts. It has been a frustrating window for the Gunners because the fans were expecting one or two incomings by now, but none of the deals has materialized till date.

The London outfit have been linked with the likes of Denis Suarez, Ever Banega, Ivan Perisic and Yannick Carrasco. There is still a glimmer of hope for the Gunners as the club are exploring the possibility to strengthen the team this month.

Over the last two days, the rumours about the Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic joining Unai Emery has intensified. According to the reliable football journalist Fabrizio Romaro, the Croatian International has handed out a transfer request in the hopes of moving to the English club.

Denis Suarez is another name which has been relentless popping up. The Spanish International has been struggled for game time at Barcelona and has been open to offers to move elsewhere. A reunion between Suarez and Unai Emery is well on the cards.

When the Gunners manager was asked about the transfer incoming this month, he said that the club are working on two deals in the last few days of the winter window.

Speaking in the Pre-match press conference, Unai Emery said “Nil or the possibility of two. Between nil and two. Zero is they aren’t coming to help us like we want, I would prefer that they don’t come. And two because we are looking at two different players and the possibility that they can come.”

It is pretty evident that the former PSG manager is desperate to make signings as they fight for a place in the top four.

“This transfer window is not easy. The club is working with different players. If we can be, it will be good for us. Will I be disappointed if there are no signings?

“No, we know it is not easy. We were speaking two months ago about this possibility and we know it is not easy.” he added.

Arsenal will take on Cardiff City in the Premier League on Tuesday before travelling to the reigning English Champions home Etihad to face Manchester City on Sunday.
