The Cricket Advisory Committee consists of former greats, Saurav Ganguly, Sachin Tendulkar and VVS Laxman. The trio will now meet at the Royal Garden Hotel and then take a call on what will be the next step.
The meeting will be convened by BCCI CEO Rahul Johri, who will try and understand where the committee stands ahead of the selection process. It is understood that Virender Sehwag will be one of the applicants for the post, while Tom Moody is also someone that the BCCI is interested in.
While Kumble’s track record as a head coach has been superb, there have been several reports of discontent coming out of the Indian dressing room. Many players have complained about Kumble’s authoritarian approach which they do not feel is necessary.
