With the successful Premier stages hosted recently, Valorant is ready to bring it back. And with the 7.01 patch update, Riot Games is looking to enter Premier’s Ignition Stage.

Riot’s first-person juggernaut, Valorant, has turned enough heads since its release. And with the latest Episode 7 Act 1, Deadlock has made the game even deadlier. While Deadlock is still a hot topic in the town, we can never forget Premier.

This game mode, currently in the beta stage, is set to make a breakthrough. With the Ignition Stage launching for the game mode, it will be amazing. However, not all is being introduced with the 7.01 patch update. It also includes minor Agent changes and some fixes for player behavior.

Valorant 7.01 patch update brings new Agent interactions

The Valorant 7.00 patch has been massive, with such a dynamic Agent being introduced to the game. While Deadlock seemed like a very unbalanced Agent at first sight, both in teamplay and in a 1v1 situation, her proper usage is finally being discovered. And she is nothing like the overpowered, broken Agent everybody portrayed her to be. And that prompted Riot to change anything about her in Valorant. They even added a few Deadlock voice lines to the lore of the Agent.

In the 7.01 patch, a few quality-of-life changes came to Agent’s ability screen and some interactions between Gekko and Deadlock. These changes are:

  • Abilities with a familiar cast paradigm or output have been made more consistent across all Agents by updating the ability action icons. This change will appear once you activate the ability and equip it.
  • Gekko and Deadlock received much-needed love as a few interactive voice lines were added between them.

Valorant Premier Ignition Stage

There is cheerful news for anybody who played with a set team and enjoyed the beta stage journey in Valorant Premier. It will officially launch in August. And this time, they are launching a whole new phase that will carry forward to the full launch. Here are the changes that come along with the Valorant 7.01 patch update.

  • The Ignition Stage launches. However, you must start from scratch and enroll under a new team. History and stats from this stage will continue to the official launch in August.
  • Choose your team name wisely since changing the name will no longer be an option afterward.
  • While the actual time varies from Zone to Zone, enroll in the proper Zone by July 20. Refer to the game client for exact timings for each Zone’s enrollment end.
  • Matches begin on July 20 and will go on till August 12.
  • Playoffs start on August 13, and to qualify for that, your team needs to accumulate at least 375 Premier Scores.
  • Crowned champions of every division will stand to win Premier Champion Title, gun buddy, etc.

Player behavior update

  • An in-game ban system is added for repeated offenders for both Competitive and Unrated modes. The offenses include AFK, Friendly Fire, and Queue Dodging.
  • Any real-time text-muted player will also remain voice-muted for a match.
