Dejan Lovren Provides Update On Virgil Van Dijk After Linking Up With The Liverpool Defender: The two met each other recently during Virgil’s recovery process
Suffering a horrendous injury after Jordan Pickford connected with him during the two sides showdown back in 2020, Virgil van Dijk has ever since been steadily working his way back to fitness.
Although he’s touted to be sidelined for the remainder of the season, the Liverpool centreback has been providing injury updates which allude towards his injury process going well. The player had only on Sunday morning shared images of him undergoing training with the ball at his feet.
What left Liverpool supporters filled with hope was the fact that the centreback was spotted with minimal bandaging to his injured leg. And the side’s old defender, Dejan Lovren has provided further rejoice news on Virgil’s knee ligament injury.

“A tough injury he had, but he looks stronger than ever, soon brother you will be on top of your level again.
“Good luck to Liverpool in today’s derby. We are with you!”

Lovren who joined Zenit from Liverpool prior to the onset of the ongoing season is currently in Virgil’s proximity. The Russian club has travelled afar to partake in warm weather training with the Russian Premier League having halted for its winter break.
Previously, Clarence Seedorf had also spoken about Virgil’s injury after meeting his countryman at the same facility. Although its unlikely that the 29 year old defender will feature again for Liverpool this term, its refreshing to see that he’s not facing any lapses during his recovery.
