In the recently updated ICC ODI rankings, Virat Kohli and Jasprit Bumrah have topped the ICC ODI rankings.  Australia, on the other hand, have slumped to all-time low No. 6 in the ODI rankings.

Australia have had to pay the price of a series whitewash against England in the five match ODI series as they have slid down to the sixth place. After their 5-0 loss, Pakistan has overtaken the Aussies to move one notch up to gain the 5th spot.

Virat Kohli has continued his stay at the top of the ICC ODI batting rankings. The good news for Indian fans is that 4 Indian batsmen feature in the top 15 batsmen in the ICC ODI rankings. While Virat Kohli is at the top of the rankings, Rohit Sharma is at number 6, Shikhar Dhawan is at the 11th spot while MS Dhoni is at the 15th place.

On the other hand, Australia is surely missing the presence of their gun batsmen in Captain Steve Smith and vice captain David Warner as the team has not been able to put up a good show in England.

Australia is also feeling the brunt of its frontline quick bowlers in Pat Cummins, Josh Hazlewood and Michelle Stark who are all injured.

As far as India is concerned, the form in which the likes of MS Dhoni and Shikhar Dhawan are, they can hugely benefit from the upcoming ODI tour of UK and further climb a few notches in the rankings.

England are currently leading the charts with 126 points. They had slipped to 123 points after losing a one-off ODI against Scotland. However, they came back strongly against the Aussies to beat them all ends up.

India are at the 2nd spot with 122 points. If the Men in Blue succeed in clean sweeping the ODI series 3-0, India will replace the English from the top spot.
