“Virat Kohli doesn’t need to defend MS Dhoni,” quotes Kapil Dev
MS Dhoni has his own class that is too hot handle by the haters. When there is a dip in his form, the unwanted critics spread out like hell only to blemish the moods.
When cricket experts like VVS Laxman, Ajit Agarkar and Akash Chopra pointed out Dhoni’s presence in T20Is lack essence, their statements took everyone by a surprise.
According to them, it is the right time for MS Dhoni to call curtains on his T20I career. But, Sunil Gavaskar, Gautam Gambhir, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, all spoke in favour of MS Dhoni and clarified that he is the best in the cricketing business.

Now, 1983 World Cup winner, Kapil Dev has come out in support of MS Dhoni. He told that the Indian captain Virat Kohli doesn’t need to protect MS Dhoni as the latter himself knows when to leave the team. He is the type of guy who gives a chance to youngsters.
“Virat Kohli doesn’t need to defend Dhoni. Dhoni is good enough to defend himself. He doesn’t need to be protected. The day he feels he is not good enough he’ll be out,” Kapil Dev was quoted as saying by India Today.
Sehwag’s point of view was something to think of that MS Dhoni should be promoted ahead of Hardik Pandya. Sourav Ganguly also backed Ganguly and urged the team management to speak to Dhoni in what position will he be comfortable.
Should MS Dhoni approach the T20Is differently, he would surely get rid of troubled waters according to Sourav Ganguly. “Mindset of the players has changed now and the game is going forward. Dhoni also needs to change his mindset in T20s. He needs to play differently,” Ganguly quoted.
