Virat Kohli sends out a message to all his fans after series victory
Yet another match, yet another chase and yet another Virat Kohli hundred. The moment he got off to a good start, you could sense that even the South Africans felt the inevitability of his hundred.
A target of 205 was never going to bother the Indian line-up, not with Kohli in such imperious form. The Indian skipper smashed 129 runs off 96 deliveries, as he was simply toying with the bowlers at Centurion.
It is very easy to criticize Kohli was his passion that some times goes over the top, but you cannot help but be in awe of him, as the swashbuckling batsman is quickly entering the discussion of one of the greatest ever batsmen to play the game.
In his pomp, Sir Viv Richards used to dominate the bowlers, as the great West Indian captured the imagination of the cricketing world through his sheer genius. Kohli has reached the same stature in the game, as he seems virtually unstoppable these days.
This was his 35th ODI century today, as Tendulkar’s record of 49 centuries is destined to be broken by this boy from Delhi. The way Kohli is batting, he would end up beating Sachin’s record quite easily, and may end up with somewhere around 60 ODI centuries!
Kohli was obviously delighted with his knock and the series win, as he tweeted a picture of himself with the staff after the match.
HERE IS KOHLI’S MESSAGE:
So proud of the whole unit. 🙏👍 What a series win. Jai Hind! 🇮🇳 pic.twitter.com/C2lgzmak7k
