Virat Kohli sits out due to back strain, Rahane leading India on Day 4
Virat Kohli hasn’t taken the field on Day 4 of the Lord’s test owing to a back strain.
Kohli had been struggling with his back for a large part of the second half of Day 3. He was constantly going off the field to get himself in shape, but apparently the work done on his body wasn’t good enough to bring him onto the field on the start of Day 4.
Kohli did take part in the team huddle before the start of the day’s play but did not take the field. Maybe the decision was taken because Kohli and the management knew that he would have to bat for a long time with that back strain during India’s 2nd innings.
We have play and the forecast wrong so far. But no Kohli on the field. Back strain apparently. Takes a lot to keep Kohli off the field…..Not good news.

England have declared with India trailing by 289 runs.
The Indian batsmen will have to dig deep and keep the English bowlers at bay, as the weather has once again gone a little too gloomy.
India will be hoping that Virat Kohli is fit enough to come out to bat because if he is not able to, India could fold really quickly.
Update: Kohli cannot bat until 37 minutes of the second innings .#ENGvIND #EngvInd

Recent report coming in confirms that Virat Kohli will not be able to come out to bat for 37 minutes from the start of the Indian 2nd innings. This is because he was off the field for 37 minutes during England’s 1st innings today morning
