Indian skipper Virat Kohli has lost his number one spot, in the latest ICC T20 rankings that were released earlier today.

Kohli has been out of action ever since the test series against Sri Lanka, as he was busy getting married to his long time partner, Anushka Sharma. The pair tied the knot in a intimate wedding in Milan, after which India’s latest power couple held a reception in New Delhi.
The pair will now hold another party in Mumbai, which will be attended by the whose-who of the cricket and Hindi film industry.
Since Kohli’s departure, Rohit Sharma has led the side admirably as India beat Sri Lanka in the ODI and T20I series. Rohit was sensational, as he scored a double hundred in the second ODI and then equaled the fastest century in T20Is.

Kohli will have a chance to win back his spot in the highly anticipated series against South Africa, which will begin in just a few days from now.
KL Rahul has also done well this year, as the Karnataka batsman finds himself in the fourth spot in the ICC rankings, while MS Dhoni and Rohit Sharma are at the 34th and 14th spot respectively.
Jasprit Bumrah has also slipped up, as the wiry bowler fell down to the third spot among the bowlers. The Mumbai Indians star had a wonderful year for team India, as his performances with the ball were a crucial part of India’s brilliant home season.
Yuzi Chahal’s performances with the ball have also gained him a big rise in the rankings, as he climbed to the 14th spot in the table.
After thrashing Sri Lanka 3-0 in the T20I series, Team India has risen to second spot in the ICC team rankings. India are also second to arch rivals Pakistan, as there is only a three point gap between the neighbouring nations.
MS Dhoni is currently ranked 37 in the world!
