Virat Kohli wishes Sachin Tendulkar

The Virat Kohli-Sachin Tendulkar relationship has blossomed over the years. Ever since Virat Kohli made his place in that Indian XI, he was very vocal about how Sachin had inspired him to pick up the bat and take up cricket as a profession.

Kohli’s career shot into limelight during Sachin’s twilight years and it was almost as if India was entering a new phase in cricket, a phase that would see Sachin smiling over his disciple Kohli and watching him conquer the world just like he did a decade ago.

Sachin walking out of the Wankhede when he was caught off Malinga’s bowling in the 2011 World Cup final, with Kohli walking in was a very symbolic moment in India’s cricketing history.

The baton was passed that day, and Kohli has worn it like a badge of honour ever since.

On Sachin’s birthday, Kohli’s birthday wishes were something that everyone was looking forward to. And Kohli has come up with some very kind words for the Master blaster, letting him know how much he means to him and the country

The tweet read: “Wish you a very Happy Birthday Sachin Paaji. You are and will always be the real Master Blaster!”

Virat Kohli is currently leading RCB in the ongoing IPL and will be flying away to England after the tournament in order to play for Surrey in the English county season.

Kohli wants to acclimatise himself to the English conditions and work on his technique before the long English tour this year.

He will miss the historic Afghanistan Test in Bangalore.
